September is suicide prevention month, where it not only brings awareness about suicide, but to also de-stigmatizes suicide ideation.

Knowing that stigma surrounding mental health is huge barrie, normalizing conversation about suicide may be a tool in suicide prevention; helping folks talk to others about their thoughts and reach out to resources available to them.
